Parents are a vital component for the success of the Parish Daham Pasala whose support and contributions are indispensable. The Parish of Katukurunda has a Daham Pasal Development Committee consisting of a group of parent volunteers who help in raising funds for the Daham Pasal events and projects such as the annual price giving and providing Sunday breakfast through the Daham Pasala Canteen. Yet it is limited only to the financial aspects of the Daham Pasala. Since the year 2020 a parent committee was suggested yet still it is not properly formed with a definitive structure and a body of representatives in view of addressing many other areas of the Daham Pasala. There are two platforms at which the parents can engage actively in the affairs of the Parish Daham Pasala.
