In the Parish of Katukurunda the RCIA process was restructured and standardized in the year 2020 – 2021 under Rev. Fr. Nilantha Ediriwickrema who was well assisted by Rev. Sr. Inoka (Sisters of Our Lady of Perpetual Help). According to the aforementioned two levels, at the first level, which is evangelization, two programs were planned to be held annually for the non-Catholic adults who wish to receive Baptism in the Roman Catholic Church. The first in-season program was held with reasonable success despite of the COVID – 19 pandemic, but the off-season second program even though already planned was delayed due to the travel restrictions imposed during the pandemic.
