The Sunday School or the Daham Paasala is the place where the Catholic Children in the village come to learn about the tenets of their Catholic Faith. The elders of the community of believers take responsibility to teach and hand over to the young ones in the community the important lessons of faith and religious traditions that they themselves had learnt from their ancestors who have preserved the practice of Faith, Mores, Rites and Rituals throughout the history of the Church in Sri Lanka. This is where the future of the Catholic Community of Katukurunda is preserved and fostered—by the Catholic education of the young ones in faith and morals.
