The English Medium Daham Pasala (Gov. Reg. No. CA/colombo/1/49/C I/S II)

It was begun in the year 2018 (February) under Rev. Fr. Rasika Lawrence, with two teachers namely Miss. Chamini Fernando who was in-charge of the students from grade 1 to 4 (8 students) and Miss. Nipuni Fonseka who was in-charge of the students from grade 5 to grade 9 (4 students). In the beginning there had been about 12 students and today about 25 – 30 students are attending this Daham Pasala. The first ever English Sunday Mass, regularly held (on a weekly basis at present) in the Parish of Katukurunda was started in the year 2021 in view of developing the English medium Sunday School. Since then, we see a regular crowd attending the English Sunday Mass organized by the teachers and the students of the English medium Sunday School which is held weekly at 10:30 am. At present there are classes covering nine grades in this Sunday School. It is yet to house students from every grade.
